This website is created in honor and memory of Rod Remlinger and his love of Bhutan and its unusual stamps. His beloved Bhutan stamp collection will be disposed of via this website ONLY. Proceeds will be given to his family. A little history of Rod (according to Larry Mann, Secretary of Sno-Kng Stamp Club):
The Sno-King Stamp Club lost good friend and former President Rod Remlinger on March 23, 2009. Rod served the club well as President from 2003-08, and was a familiar presence at club stamp shows and meetings. He was a genial, friendly man who welcomed guests and members alike, and for six years carried on the often thankless job of presiding over club meetings and dealing with the multitude of details connected with our yearly stamp show. At shows, Rod was good at making coffee and supplying doughnuts for dealers and members who helped out, as well as in making the rounds to talk and make visitors feel welcome. In between shows, Rod and his wife Joyce were kind enough to store the club coffee pot, cups, paper plates, and many of the club’s stash of exhibit frames. Although such things often go unnoticed, we appreciate Rod’s dedication to the club and the many things he did for our members.
Rod was also a dedicated philatelist, specializing in the stamps and postal history of the small Asian country of Bhutan. Bhutan stamps are [unusual], including stamps in 3-D, 33-1/3-rpm record stamps that could be played on a record turntable, CDs, and stamps with rose scent. Rod was a specialist and corresponded with fellow Bhutan collectors from around the world. He was quoted in a June 26, 2008 Washington Post article on the stamps of Bhutan, entitled “Postage from the Edge: Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan Ranks High in Philatelic Firsts”. Rod often expounded at club meetings on his latest purchases. Although many of us probably learned more about Bhutan stamps than we cared to know, we respected his knowledge and were glad to see a fellow collector enjoy his hobby so much.

Rod's Bhutan Records exhibit
Rod loved showing off his Bhutan stamps at club meetings and stamp shows. His extensive knowledge would hold anyone's attention, even if they were not Bhutan collectors.
Our friendship with Rod ended much too soon. We are thankful for his years of service to our club. We will miss his genial presence and how he enlivened our club meetings. We send our condolences, prayers, and best wishes to his widow Joyce. Rod will be missed.
Kevin & Kathy Remlinger
Update: May 5, 2010 -- Rod's daughter Kathy and son Kevin are shown here flanking Rod's Bhutan Records exhibit that was last shown at the Sno-King Stamp Show on January 31, 2010.
I just spent an hour with Kathy here in my home. We reminisced about her parents, enjoying sharing tales. We discussed the Bhutan stamp sales progress and agreed to keep the website going until everything is sold (we'll be here awhile gang!). I presented her with a nice check from the winter sales. She is very thankful for all the support Bhutan stamp collectors have given to the estate. Please keep her and Kevin in your thoughts and prayers as they work their way through the loss of their parents.
Thanks again everyone for your support! I look forward to our continuing "business partnership".
